Tonight’s episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles really screwed up the timeline, moreso than any episode so far.

I know I’m a TOTAL dork for doing it, but I wrote this timeline of major events in the Terminator series. There is a branch after Terminator 2: one which has the events of Terminator 3 and Terminator: Salvation, and one which has the events of TSCC.

TIMELINE A (Pre-time travel)

Circa 1964: Sarah Connor is born
• Circa 1985: John Connor is born with an unknown biological father.
• August 29, 1997: Judgment Day. John Connor becomes the leader of the Human Resistance
• Circa 2008: Kyle Reese is born.
• Circa 2029: Skynet sends T-800A back in time to kill Sarah Connor. John Connor in turn sends Kyle Reese to defend her.

TIMELINE B (“The Terminator”)

• Circa 1964: Sarah Connor is born
• May 12, 1984: T-800A and Kyle Reese arrive in the past. Kyle meets Sarah Connor and impregnates her.
• May 13, 1984: T-800A is destroyed and fails its mission. Kyle dies.
• Nov 10, 1984: Sarah Connor travels to Mexico to have John.
• Feb 28, 1985: John Connor is born
• Aug 29, 1997: Judgment Day John Connor leads the human resistance..
• Circa 2029: Skynet sends T-1000 back in time to kill John Connor. The resistance sends back T-800B, a reprogrammed Terminator.

TIMELINE C.1 (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” leading up to “Terminator 3”)

• Circa 1964: Sarah Connor is born
• May 12, 1984: T-800A and Kyle Reese arrive in the past. Kyle meets Sarah Connor and impregnates her.
• May 13, 1984: T-800A is destroyed and fails its mission. Kyle dies.
• Nov 10, 1984: Sarah Connor travels to Mexico to have John.
• Feb 28, 1985: John Connor is born
• Between 1992 and 1995: Sarah Connor tries to blow up a computer factory, is placed in a mental institution. John is placed in foster care.
• June 1995: John Connor and Kate Brewster kiss
• May 12, 1995: T-1000 and T-800B arrive in the past. Sarah destroys Cyberdyne and the remnants of T-800A. T-800B destroys T-1000, T-800B is destroyed.
• July 24, 2004: Judgment Day. John Connor leads the human resistance.
• Circa 1997: Sarah Connor dies of Leukemia
• July 4, 2032: T-800C kills John Connor.
• Shortly after July 4, 2032: Skynet sends T-X to 2004 to kill lieutenants of the Human Resistance.

TIMELINE D.1 (“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”)

• Circa 1964: Sarah Connor is born
• May 12, 1984: T-800A and Kyle Reese arrive in the past. Kyle meets Sarah Connor and impregnates her.
• May 13, 1984: T-800A is destroyed and fails its mission. Kyle dies.
• Nov 10, 1984: Sarah Connor travels to Mexico to have John.
• Feb 28, 1985: John Connor is born
• Between 1992 and 1995: Sarah Connor tries to blow up a computer factory, is placed in a mental institution. John is placed in foster care.
• June 1995: John Connor and Kate Brewster kiss
• May 12, 1995: T-1000 and T-800B arrive in the past. Sarah destroys Cyberdyne and the remnants of T-800A. T-800B destroys T-1000, T-800B is destroyed.
• Circa 1997: Sarah Connor dies of Leukemia
• July 23, 2004: T-X and T-800C arrive in the past. T-X kills several Resistance lieutenants, and attempts to kill John. John meets Kate Brewster for the second time.
• July 24, 2004: Judgment Day. John and Kate survive in a secret government bunker. John Connor leads the human resistance, Kate becoming second in command.
• Circa 2018: Events of “Terminator: Salvation”

TIMELINE C.2 (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” leading up to “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”)

• Circa 1964: Sarah Connor is born
• May 12, 1984: T-800A and Kyle Reese arrive in the past. Kyle meets Sarah Connor and impregnates her.
• May 13, 1984: T-800A is destroyed and fails its mission. Kyle dies.
• Nov 10, 1984: Sarah Connor travels to Mexico to have John.

• April 19, 2011: Skynet is activated.
• April 21, 2011: Judgment Day. John Connor leads the human resistance.
• Circa 2027: Skynet sends T-888 “Cromartie” to 1999 to kill John Conner. John Connor sends back Cameron, a reprogrammed Terminator. Derek Reese, along with other resistance fighters, travel to 2007 to destroy Skynet.

TIMELINE D.2 (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”)

• September 2007: The Connors and Derek Reese arrive from the past.
• Circa 2008: T-1001 “Weaver” takes John to 2027.
• April 19, 2011(?): Skynet is activated.
• April 21, 2011(?): Judgment Day. John Connor does NOT lead the resistance, as he skipped this part of the timeline.
• Circa 2027: John and T-1001 “Weaver” arrive from the past.
