Microsoft allowing consumers to downgrade from Windows 7 to XP or Vista (bleh) if they are not satisfied.

But what if you aren’t satisfied with Windows products anymore?

I’m not so sure it’s a good idea. I would say a large majority of people that would rather have XP than Windows 7 feel that way only because they fear change. Windows 7, even the build 7000 beta, has been more stable and far more usable than Windows XP. Apple doesn’t give you the choice of either Tiger or Leopard on their machines, you’re getting Leopard, and you’re going to LIKE IT! Is it because Tiger was a bad OS? Certainly not. Leopard is just better.

Not that I’m always happy with the endless better hardware, heavier OS cycle, but XP is getting long in the tooth and can’t properly use the power of newer systems. Windows 7 is a better OS than XP is, and it’s about time people tae the change. If they don’t want Windows 7, they needn’t buy a new computer.
